Selichot 2021
Saturday, August 28, 2021 • 20 Elul 5781
8:00 PM - 9:00 PMOn the Saturday evening before Rosh HaShanah, we gather together for a very special service to help us prepare for the upcoming High Holy Days. The service is called “Selichot,” named for our prayers for forgiveness that we begin to offer at this time. The Selichot service introduces us to the themes, liturgy, and music of our Yamim Nora’im (Days of Awe), thus helping us to get ready for this most holy and important time of year. We will begin in the Sanctuary with Havdalah at 8:00pm as we conclude Shabbat. We will then flow directly into our Selichot Service. Selichot is a wonderful way to prepare for the High Holy Days and to help us get into the spirit of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. We hope that you will join us for this special evening. We invite you to join us in person in the Sanctuary. The service will also be available online through Zoom and Facebook Live and livestreamed on the Temple Sinai website. Due to COVID protocols, there will be no additional program nor reception this year. Please feel free to contact the Temple with any questions.
